If you’re famous, fabulous and have millions of followers, the last thing you’d want to do is get naked on social media, right? Wrong. Celebrities are falling over themselves to bare all on camera and share it with their loyal army of devotees. Naked selfies, accidental nip-slips and racy photoshoots are giving us all a revealing glimpse into the previously covered bodies of our favourite celebs. Hot and steamy images are just a click away on Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat. But sometimes they go too far, post an image that shows WAY more than they realized or just crosses the boundaries of taste and decency. We’re looking at you, Miley Cyrus!

15. Vicki Gunvalson

Ever been promoting some headphones while naked and got caught? I know, right? Happens to me ALL the time too. So embarrassing. Vicki Gunvalson found herself in this very situation on Instagram. Giving a shoutout to Beats by Dre headphones, she snapped a pic of the box they arrived in – while naked, natch – and the reflection of her topless torso could be seen in the reflection on the box. Yikes! Vicki Gunvalson’s followers got more than they bargained for before the Real Housewives of Orange County star deleted the image. Apologizing on Facebook, the red-faced reality star might think twice before taking photos in the buff again!

14. Tara Reid

Everyone celebrates a new year in a different way. Some reflect on their life choices, others nurse a heavy hangover. Most of that involves crashing in front of the TV in your pants and a side order of regret. Celebs however are a different species to us mere mortals though. None more so than former American Pie actress, Tara Reid. Her New Year’s day naval gazing took on an altogether more racy turn when, in January 2015, she bared all on Instagram. Wearing just a watch and a smile, Tara’s selfie flaunted almost all of her best assets. Tara Reid fans went wild, the post got over 12,000 likes and the nearly nude shot just about got around Instagram’s strict nudity policy.

13. Demi Lovato

S*x sells – according to the short and sweet saying. So in a bid to shift a few more copies of her latest single, in 2016 Demi Lovato stripped bare for a sensational photoshoot. Completely naked, Demi is snapped showering and showing off her tattoos while giving some seriously steamy looks to the camera. Sharing the shots with fans on Instagram the singer racked up an impressive 770,000 likes. Proving that we’re all creeping on Instagram when we really should be working, pursuing wholesome activities or just minding our own damn business. While the naked songstress notched up a few likes on social media, the single, Body Say, went on to perform dismally in charts around the world.

12. Miley Cyrus

Here’s the thing. I’d challenge anyone to send in social media snaps of Miley Cyrus NOT over-sharing. We’ve seen it all. So, so often. We could all hand draw some intimate etchings of Miley’s naked form, we’re THAT familiar with her body. That said, this 2015 snap really does leave very little to our imaginations. Shot in a dressing room before her infamous MTV VMAs hosting gig in 2015, the diminutive pop starlet bared all wearing nothing but a smile. Once again Instagram’s strict rules on nudity meant that some carefully placed pink circles hid Miley’s assets, but that didn’t stop her. Miley’s nipple came at millions of viewers like a wrecking ball during filming of the awards leading to criticism from the Parents Television Council. Oh, Miley …

11. Jake Shears

What is it with celebrities and New Year’s? First Tara Reid flashes the flesh in a hammock and now Jake Shears is doing a naked snow angel … face down. Brrrr … chilly! The Scissor Sisters frontman bizarrely chose this frosty snow scene for his 2016 New Year greeting. Lying naked in the ice-cold snow, he captioned the Instagram snap “Balls to the Wall 2016 Happy New Year :)” … Jake must have balls of steel if he’s happy to plunge them into icy snow for the sake of a great social media shot. We all love a wintry holiday image, but this one leaves me cold. Let’s hope he was comfortably numb …

10. Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian’s naked butt broke the internet. So, this isn’t a woman who’s shy about baring all for the sake of a few likes, clicks and shares. She ranks alongside Miley Cyrus as one of the many celebs whose social media shots leave little to the imagination. So much so that many sites have whole articles dedicated to the many, many times Kim’s whipped off her clothes on camera. She’s covered all angles. Pregnant Kim, post-baby Kim, risqué pictures and candid shots of Kim at home wearing nothing but a smile. But we’ve also seen the infamous tapes of Kim and Ray J where things get seriously NSFW. So should Kim be featured on this list at all? How far would she have to go now to show TOO much? Who knows …

9. Amy Schumer

What can we say about this naked photo of Amy Schumer? Fat shamers, body shamers and internet trolls would be so quick to point out perceived ‘flaws’ here. But Amy being Amy, she gets there before anyone else can. Captioning the revealing image “Beautiful, gross, strong, thin, fat, pretty, ugly, sexy, disgusting, flawless, woman. Thank you Annie Leibovitz!” She takes the power away from anyone hoping to put her down with a few snarky words left in the comments. Proud of the image, Amy got snapped sans-clothes for the famous Pirelli calendar saying it was her idea to bare all. Racking up over half a million likes, the image proved popular and Amy has ditched her clothes in other revealing snaps since.

8. John Legend 

The couple who get naked on social media stay together doesn’t quite have the same ring to it as the more snappy ‘couples who play together, stay together’ quote but let’s just go with it for the sake of this entry on our nudy judy list, shall we? John Legend and Chrissy Teigen love to show off their flawless bods. Though … maybe Chrissy is a little more into the exhibitionism than John. Showing off her beloved’s butt cheeks in this racy Instagram post, Chrissy shared the legend-ary sweet cheeks with the world amid a flurry of likes. No stranger to posing without clothes herself, we’re wondering if the Legend-Teigen household is always a clothes-free zone?

7. Bella Thorne

Most celebrities who’ve gotten naked on this list have done so intentionally. They’ve grabbed their phone, got their kit off and flashed their flesh for the world to see. Bella Thorne has a slightly different reason for making it onto our list of naked celebs. Queen of Snapchat, Bella Thorne is always posting Snaps for her fans. So it makes sense that she doesn’t have time to check for any sneaky Snap-nakedness right? Posting a makeup tutorial – she filmed a close up of her face. Which wouldn’t be a problem except she was wearing just a thong – and shooting in a room filled with mirrors – Doh! Fans got to see the bisexual star topless and it started a trend. Regularly deleting nip-slip shots and showing off her body, Bella seems fairly comfortable baring all on social media, even if she does quickly delete the footage.

6. Chelsea Handler

 

Every now and then celebrities take on a cause. Using their high profiles and considerable influence they champion all manner of things. Charities, human rights, animal welfare and many, many more good causes. Chelsea Handler however is single-handedly fighting the good fight against Instagram’s nudity policies. She’s flaunting her bare breasts on Twitter, posting nearly naked shots on Instagram and generally getting naked online every chance she gets. And having done the research – it’s A LOT. Being a lady who loves to bring the lolz, Chelsea’s flashing her flesh in style. Always humorous, rarely flattering, her pics are so much more than a protest. Expect to see more of Chelsea – a lot more – before this is over.

5. Justin Bieber

So … it goes without saying that there are some VERY revealing shots of Justin Bieber online. Some are fake, some are from hacked social media accounts but many are from Justin’s own timeline. It seems the pop star just can’t keep his shirt – or anything much else on – most days. Baring his chest, along with his many tattoos, Justin keeps his army of Beliebers swooning with his revealing selfies. The image that grabbed everyone’s attention (no, not THAT one) is the one of Justin wistfully gazing out to sea, wearing not a stitch. You’d think with all the money from his record sales he could afford to cover up with some great outfits, right?

4. Nicki Minaj

By this point we’ve gathered that celebrities like to celebrate major holidays in an alternative, and butt-naked, way. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Nicki Minaj stripped off for an Easter selfie. Looking like she was smuggling some giant Easter Eggs into her dressing room, Minaj shared the image – and her bare breasts – with her devoted followers. Happy Easter indeed. When did we lose the real meaning of Easter, people? Back in simpler times, when social media was just a glint in a programmers eye, we were happy with chocolate eggs, a few days off work and some gluttony. 

3. Geraldo Rivera

So far everyone who’s bared all on Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat has, shall we say, been easy on the eye. But this next image had us all questioning why we followed Geraldo Rivera in the first place. The Fox News contributor got shirtless and revealed almost all on Twitter as a wave of regret swept the globe. Now, I’m all for being proud of your body – if you’ve got it, flaunt it. But I’m going to go out on a limb here and say no-one wants what Geraldo’s flauntin’. He says 70 is the new 50, but I think I speak for everyone when I say naked 70 is the new GROSS.

2. Usher

Global star and music icon Usher, has joined an army of men foisting unsolicited d*ck pics on the world. Except Usher did manage to add just a hint of class to his pecker pic by adding a carefully placed emoji. The black and white image also leaves little to the imagination, because well, basically anyone looking at the picture gets an eyeful of Usher’s junk. Is there no limit to what the ‘U got it bad’ singer will do for publicity? We think he just refuses to admit that he is past his prime. Poor Usher.

1. Alison Pill

This social media accident could be a storyline lifted from the script of Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. The lead actress on the show, Alison Pill, posted a topless selfie to all of her Twitter followers. Choosing not to claim she’d been hacked or the victim of a prank, Alison fessed up, saying: “Yep. That picture happened. Ugh. My tech issues have now reached new heights, apparently. How a deletion turned into a tweet… Apologies.” Posted just minutes after the original picture appeared, it was still too little too late. The image is still cropping up and is one confession Alison may live to regret.
